Who can qualify?
Accepted candidates with financial need who are citizens of the above geographical areas with a preference given to those who wish to return to their countries after graduation. Preference also is given to those with a technical background and / or experience related to marine engineering.

Universität Bern - International Master`s Scholarship

The Universität Bern will offer international students Excellence Scholarships for postgraduate study for the academic year 2008/09. The scholarship consists of 1600 CHF per month for the entire duration of the Master`s programme.

Criteria for selection:

* Applicants must, by end of July 2008, have graduated with at least a Bachelor`s degree in the same field of study as the selected Master`s programme

Applications are invited for a PhD studentship in the area of spatial statistical modelling applied to mapping schistosomiasis transmission in different settings of Africa. The studentship covers living cost and tuition fees and provides support for 3 years. The starting date is June 1st, 2007 or as soon as possible after that date by negotiation.Appropriate qualifications are either an MSc in Mathematics with a substantial statistical component or in Biology or other related fields followed by postgraduate qualification in Statistics. Applicants should have also sound computing skills. The successful applicant will register for a PhD degree at the University of Basel.

A. UMUM

Yang dimaksud PNS adalah pegawai negeri sipil yang ditempatkan di lembaga lembaga departemen, non departemen, baik di lingkungan pemerintahan pusat maupun daerah.

Yang dimaksud pegawai Lembaga Pendidikan adalah dosen dan pegawai pada lembaga-lembaga pendidikan.

Yang dimaksud pegawai Industri TIK adalah pegawai perusahaan-perusahaan di bidang teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, baik BUMN/D maupun swasta murni.

Through the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS), the Swiss Government grants foreign students university scholarships (Swiss universities, Federal Institutes of Technology). These scholarships are offered on the basis of reciprocity (fixed number of scholarships for each country) or within the frame of a scholarship pool (scholarships without fixed distribution by country). They are intended for students who have graduated from university (postgraduates) and who, by staying in Switzerland, will be able to further their education and to undertake research work in the fields in which the Swiss universities are particularly active.
